Nathan Prebonick
Nathan Prebonick is a painter and printmaker from Akron, Ohio. He teaches at Michigan State University. Nathan's work has been exhibited in the Midwest and on the East Coast including Akron, Cleveland, Boston, Providence and New York City. He was featured in New American Paintings and Studio Visit Magazine publications.
Nathan explores relationships between the landscape, architecture and aesthetics. Stenciling black acrylic paint onto raw canvas in flat, geometric cross sections, layers accumulate into dense silhouette-scapes of passageways, obstructions and fluctuating figure/ground relationships.
