MATTHEW CHOBERKA
I am a painter currently based in Ogden, Utah. I also currently serve as Professor of the Department of Visual Art & Design at Weber State University. Current studio practice encompasses oil and acrylic painting, as well as digital painting.
My painting addresses the instability and complexity of the contemporary world. The images are autonomous, whole on their own terms (I hope), but inter-related in an ongoing argument with myself about the know-ability of the other, and even of the self.
