Dana Wigdor currently resides in Brattleboro, Vermont.  She received her BFA from The San Francisco Art Institute in 1990, and her MFA from Vermont College of Fine Arts in 2008.  Wigdor paints full time in her Brattleboro studio.

For me, painting is a daily exercise in unearthing characters, or "creatures" from spontaneous abstraction. With each layer that is added, paradoxically, life is uncovered. Anatomical elements appear, anthropomorphic forms play out before me, and I feel an ardent devotion to their character development.  Each encounter is extraordinary and unique.
