Christine Ritchie
Ritchie (MFA Painting, Pratt Institute, NYC ) lived in NYC for 23 years and currently lives in Michigan. Ritchie's work has been exhibited in NYC, Chicago, Memphis, Detroit, Italy and Holland. Along with painting the Figure, Ritchie has made annual Plein air Landscape painting excursions since 1997.
“As an artist, I am interested in the figure as a vehicle in transit through space and the rhythms created by that movement. I am ultimately searching for a "language" to communicate the physicality of the figure through the process and medium in which I am working.”
