The Painting Center is pleased to announce Alyce Gottesman’s exhibition, Rangadravya in the Main Gallery and Project Room. This body of work is inspired by her recent travels to India. The ubiquitous vibrant colors of the clothing worn by the people there has become the focus of these paintings. She continues her exploration of organic abstraction and expands upon her painting processes. Her work has been exhibited extensively in the NY metro area and is in many private, public and corporate collections. She is a recipient of a New Jersey State Council on the Arts Fellowship, a Geraldine R. Dodge Foundation Fellowship and was awarded a residency at Virginia Center for the Creative Arts. Recent exhibitions include Carter Burden Gallery, Kent State University, Drawing Rooms, Veronique Wantz Gallery and others. For additional images, visit www.alycegottesman.com.
