Marilyn Gold works with oil paints to suggest visual experiences that evoke nature and placement of the human body, but abstractly. She has worked in this manner since 1987 when she met Agnes Martin at Skowhegan. She has shown in many group exhibits primarily in NYC and upstate NY.
“When painting, I seek to convey, with color and texture, a human expression of both physical and visual experiences of life, a reaction to nature not necessarily by looking out, but within my mind and on the canvass. And, the ever present “DNA” of dialogue with painters throughout time.”
