“When I create a piece of art I am alone with my thoughts. The images are pre-determined to some extent and filled with personal symbolism. The message, the mood and the metaphors work in harmony to evoke an emotion, insight or beauty. In a world filled with deception, I am at peace when I am free to explore the truth that lies within.”

Janet Mueller lives in Miami Beach. Originally from Champaign, IL she moved to Florida in 1993. She has had 13 solo exhibitions including a show entitled “Hope” at The Painting Center in 2017 and in Rome, Italy in 2001. Her work is included in collections around the world.
