Deborah Freedman is a painter who lives and works in NYC and Ulster County, NY. She studied at NYU with Audrey Flack, Robert Blackburn, James Wines and Knox Martin. She has exhibited at venues including Artists Space, The Brooklyn Museum, The Cooper-Hewitt Museum of Design, and The Painting Center.
“The primary concern of my artistic practice has been to create metaphoric landscapes depicting yearning and chaos. This has resulted in various series titled Disturbed Landscapes, Goodnight Irene, A Better World, and The Blue Wave.”
