Diamond received a BFA in painting from Cornell University, and studied at the NY Studio School. She is Adjunct Associate Professor at Pratt Institute in Brooklyn. Awards include the American Academy of Arts and Letter’s Purchase Prize, Pratt Faculty Development Grant, and the National Academy Museum’s Edwin Palmer Prize.

Several threads develop concurrently in Diamond’s body of work; they interweave naturally and contain her dominant interests—structure and space, texture and rhythm, while utilizing quite different modalities, including abstract paintings, found debris collage on wood, photo collage works on paper, and plein air drawings of architectural sights.
